Exhibit to showcase emerging, mid-career artists

“Platform,” a national juried show featuring six emerging artists, will open Friday, March 1, at Paseo Originals Art Gallery, 2920 Paseo.

The show sought to attract emerging and mid-career artists throughout the nation, who offer an appreciation for something new.

Featured artists are Nicholas Scrimenti, Mark Hatley, Steve Whitfield, Birgit Huttemann-Holz, Allie Jensen and Araceli Tarraso.

The jury was composed of Steve Liggett, founder of Living Arts, Tulsa; F. Bradley Jessop, Ed.D., director, School of Fine Arts. East Central University Ada; Laura Warriner, co-founder of Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, founder of [Artspace] at Untitled; Karen L. Orr, owner of Paseo Originals Art Gallery; Tony Morton, director of Paseo Originals Art Gallery.

The exhibit will close on March 30, 2013 and selected artists will remain in contract representation through the calendar year.
